It's been more than a month since my last post. Oh dear. I'm sorry I kept you waiting for so long. But I'm back now, and we can get right back to the good stuff.
For the first time in my life, I'm part of a Book Club!
It may seem odd that I've never been in a book club before. Or it might seem strange to you that This is so exciting for me. But here, let me explain.
I was talking to a couple friends of mine about the books that we like, and that we would like to read. When I mentioned that Little Women is my favorite book of all time, BOTH of them responded that they wanted to read it but hadn't done it yet.
So... now we're going to read it together. I do feel a little guilty because I feel like I have an unfair advantage, having read it multiple times before, but it's so exciting to be reading books with friends that I can hardly even contain myself.
I find it important to remind you, my lovelies, that you should never feel obligated to read a book because "it's a classic" or because "everyone my age should have read this." Read books that you want to read, and read them in ways that make you happy. With friends or as an audiobook or in little snippets or out in the park or while upside-down. Whatever best suits your personal reading goals, and whatever makes you happiest with your reading - do THAT.
There is no wrong way to read, unless it's making you miserable. Then you're definitely doing it wrong.
Next time, join me for a rant about Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and why it frustrated me to no end.
